Living with Purpose -- Randall L. Ridd

In January of 2015, Brother Randall L. Ridd (2nd Counselor in the Young Men General Presidency) gave this talk at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho.

I have only listened to a little bit of the first part of his talk, but it sounds like some good advice so far.

Also -- I saw that the organist used two levels with his right hand as he played!  I play the organ.  I have never played like that before.  Interesting.  I liked the way it sounded when he did that.

I love photography.

I love really GOOD photography.

I thought at one point that perhaps I would like to become a photographer, but I think I have discovered that although I love looking at really good pictures, and I like being able to take really good pictures, that I do not think I would be able to spend all of my time doing everything necessary to do all that a photographer does.

So -- for now, I will just enjoy looking at what other people take pictures of.

Northern Images

I went to this site and just kept the home page up for a while because it had such pretty pictures that it showed, slowly, one after another, giving me enough time to enjoy each picture.

I loved it.

I found the above site because I saw some pretty pictures on my cousin's wall in his house, and he told me that his daughter had taken the pictures.  They were of a bridge in Duluth and of the Split Rock Lighthouse.

I looked for Google Images of the light house and found a picture that I really liked, taken by the guy who has the Northern Images web site, so I went to his site, and Vwala!  More beautiful pictures!

I don't like to ski, but some people do.

I heard about this today, so I thought I'd put it here so I would remember it for reference on another day.

I found this site while listening to Pandora.

I wish I had really good speakers attached to my computer.

I want to be able to control the bass and treble.

Here is a Google website that I saw today on Google.

I played a "dancing" game where I had to "write code" for my dancing elf.

On the right, the first elf would dance, and there would be up, down, right & left arrows, etc... when the elf would dance right or left, up or down.

I then had to do the same moves for my elf.

There were repeat signs, and how many times to repeat....

It was fun!

If this is what coding is, it's interesting.  I'm not sure I'd want to do it every day for a job, but it's fun to learn about.

It's kind of like writing music.  I like to write music too, but it does take a lot of time and thought.

You have to be exact.

I like being exact..........

I went to a baby shower this morning.

One of the ladies there suggested that the "mother-to-be" check out JET.com to be able to buy diapers at a reasonably cheap price.   : )

I've never bought anything at this site, so I don't know if that is the case, but it probably is.
