Study .com

Here's another site -- but -- it appears that it costs something to be able to use it for longer than their "free trial" period.

Hmmmm...........

Oh well -- I'll put it here anyway.   : )

(My science teacher gave us a link to go there.)

I just found this site today.

It looks like it has lots of science stuff on it.

It also has lots of other educational information on it -- in videos, pictures and explanations in writing.

Word Press for a Blog

Howdy!

I've been frustrated that on the right there, where it says "2015", if I click on it, it does NOT "open" the year and show all of the months.
It just stays as "2015" and it brings December here to this area.

Then I have to scroll down, post by post, to find a post I'm interested in reading.

Phooey!

I'm thinking I might switch to Word Press.  (I'll save this and check them out later.)

Buckskin Bikes!  (in Anderson, Indiana)

A friend of mine recommended this site on his Linkedin page, and I trust my friend, since I've known him a long time, AND he works at a Chamber of Commerce.   : )

This site also interests me since I ride a unicycle.  They deal with wheels, and I own a wheel!

Other than that, I know nothing about this place.   : )

But check it out!

The Sun

Here are two videos that my science teacher shared with us:

YouTube

For this next video, scroll down a little bit to watch it:

The Sun

The CMB Discovery (science)

I believe that something is very fishy about the whole story of how the "CMB" (radiation left-over after the "big bang") was discovered.

Here is a link to part of the story about it:

The Story Behind the Science -- Astronomy

Here are a bunch of links on Wikipedia for me to go to again later, to do more investigating:

(More names to consider are:  George Lemaitre, Ralph Alpher, Robert Herman, James Peebles, David Wilkinson (see also WMAP), and Peter Roll.)

The Universe -- Beyond the Big Bang

THIS is the video I was looking for earlier.

In the video, it said to go to History .com to find and buy the video, but I could not find the video there.  Then, today, I found another link that took me right to this video.

It took me FIVE hours to watch this, since there were about 15 questions that I had to answer after watching it for my Science class.

I found this video interesting and very educational.

They mention something "mysterious" that happened before the big bang and something "mysterious" that happened, which created life.

I believe that GOD's Priesthood power was the "mysterious" force and authority behind it all.   : )

Cool!  You can watch a bunch of short videos that are from the 90 minute video that was titled, "Beyond the Big Bang", which I watched as part of my Science class!

There is a TON of great and interesting information in these videos.   : )

Curiosity Stream

This site might be worth checking-into........

You pay each month to watch cool documentaries.

I'll save this here for later.

It shows Michio Kaku at the beginning, snapping his fingers to show what comes next.

I like Michio Kaku's demeanor.

A Counting Book

I am looking for a counting book that my parents had when I was young.

It had such bright, pretty colors inside -- especially of butterflies.  That is the image that I remember the most.  And all of the pages inside were WHITE with colorful pictures of whatever was being counted -- cars, butterflies, whatever.

This book MIGHT be the book I'm looking for, but maybe not.  I'd have to see the inside to know.

I might order it (from Amazon, below) just to find out, since a used book only costs one penny (plus shipping).   : )

Have you ever heard of this site before?

Me neither, until today.

As far as I understand it, there are places all around where people rent their places out, and you can stay there while you're traveling, instead of going to a hotel.

It is referred to as the morning and evening star because it shows up just before dawn and also shows up just as evening comes.

This Wikipedia page has some interesting facts about Venus.

I like this picture from the Wikipedia page, which explains that Venus is always the brightest planet or star in the sky and that Jupiter is the next-brightest planet or star.

Hmmmmm..............

I don't want to pay for it, but I'm putting the link here because I like the simple, non-bombarding web page that is shown.  It is not confusing.  It is not covered in a ton of ads.  I guess that is why they have their subscribers pay for it.  There are no ads.

Dark Matter...........

Wikipedia says:  It is matter that is a "hypothetical" kind of matter that cannot be seen with telescopes but accounts for most of the matter in the universe.

"Dark matter has not been detected directly..." which makes it a big mystery of the universe, Wikipedia says.

If they believe in Dark Matter, then why can't they believe in God?

I need to study this further:
